AI Topper supplies drumsalted hides from every major beef-producing region of Australia. Fresh hides are taken into our processing plants daily where they are handled along a fully automated chain system and drumsalted over 10 hours. The process uses coarse salt with the addition of fungicide and bactericide.
Salt penetration, moisture content, and hide temperatures are continuously monitored throughout to ensure proper and consistent curing as part of a stringent quality control protocol.
Hides are offered either as conventional unfleshed drumsalted hides, or as fleshed and trimmed drumsalted hides, depending on specific customer requirements.
